Preparation

Instructions for Use:


Your baby's health depends on carefully following these directions. Proper hygiene, handling and storage are important when preparing infant formula. Failure to follow these directions could result in severe harm. Ask your baby's doctor if you need to use cooled, boiled water for mixing and if you need to boil (sterilize) bottles, nipples and rings before use.

Powder

  1. Wash your hands, surfaces and utensils. Pour water into clean bottle (see mixing guide).
  2. Add 1 unpacked level scoop (8.6 g) to each 2 fl oz of water. Return dry scoop to container.
  3. Cap bottle; shake well; attach nipple. Once feeding begins, use within 1 hour or discard.

Powder Mixing Guide

Measure water+Add scoop(s) of unpacked level powder using enclosed scoop

4 fl oz 2 scoops
6 fl oz 3 scoops
8 fl oz 4 scoops


Each scoop adds about 0.2 fl oz to the amount of prepared formula. For larger size mixing instructions, please visit www.Similac.com/mixing info.

When mixed as directed:
20.6 oz container makes approximately 151 fl oz of formula.
30.8 oz container makes approximately 226 fl oz of formula.
36 oz container makes approximately 264 fl oz of formula.
40 oz container makes approximately 293 fl oz of formula.

Ready to Feed

  • Do not add water.
  • Shake very well.

2 or 8 fl oz bottle

  • Do not use if breakaway ring is missing or broken.
  • Twist off cap.
  • Use clean hands to twist on nipple and ring. Use sterile nipple and ring if directed.
  • For use in a different feeding container (cup or bottle):
    • Ask your baby's doctor if you need to boil (sterilize) the empty bottles before adding formula.
    • Pour desired amount into clean feeding container. Recap bottle, refrigerate and use within 48 hours.
  • Once feeding begins, use within 1 hour or discard.

32 fl oz bottle

  • Do not use if band around cap or inner foil seal is damaged.
  • Shake very well before each use.
  • Remove protective band; twist off and clean cap.
  • Invert cap; press down to pierce foil, then turn cap a half turn.
  • Remove foil.
  • Pour formula into bottle; attach clean nipple.
  • Once feeding begins, use within 1 hour or discard.
  • Prepare and feed all formula in the container within 3 days after opening.

Storage Instructions:

Powder

  • Once mixed, store bottles in refrigerator and feed to baby within 24 hours.
  • Store unopened conainers at room temperature; avoid extreme temperatures.
  • Use opened can contents within 1 month.
  • Do not reuse container.

Ready to Feed

2 & 8 fl oz Bottle

  • Store unopened at room temperature; avoid extreme temperatures.
  • Do not reuse bottle.
  • Protect from light.
  • Store in carton until ready for use.

32 fl oz Bottle

  • Unopened Container: Store at room Temperature; avoid extreme Temperatures.
  • Opened Container: Recap, refrigerate, and feed within 3 days.
  • Prepared unfed bottles: cap, refrigerate, and feed within 2 days. Do not reuse container.

Preparation

Instructions for Use:


Your baby's health depends on carefully following these directions. Proper hygiene, handling and storage are important when preparing infant formula. Failure to follow these directions could result in severe harm. Ask your baby's doctor if you need to use cooled, boiled water for mixing and if you need to boil (sterilize) bottles, nipples and rings before use.

Powder

  1. Wash your hands, surfaces and utensils. Pour water into clean bottle (see mixing guide).
  2. Add 1 unpacked level scoop (8.6 g) to each 2 fl oz of water. Return dry scoop to container.
  3. Cap bottle; shake well; attach nipple. Once feeding begins, use within 1 hour or discard.

Powder Mixing Guide

Measure water+Add scoop(s) of unpacked level powder using enclosed scoop

Each scoop adds about 0.2 fl oz to the amount of prepared formula. For larger size mixing instructions, please visit www.Similac.com/mixing info.

When mixed as directed:
20.6 oz container makes approximately 151 fl oz of formula.
30.8 oz container makes approximately 226 fl oz of formula.
36 oz container makes approximately 264 fl oz of formula.
40 oz container makes approximately 293 fl oz of formula.

Ready to Feed

  • Do not add water.
  • Shake very well.

2 or 8 fl oz bottle

  • Do not use if breakaway ring is missing or broken.
  • Twist off cap.
  • Use clean hands to twist on nipple and ring. Use sterile nipple and ring if directed.
  • For use in a different feeding container (cup or bottle):
    • Ask your baby's doctor if you need to boil (sterilize) the empty bottles before adding formula.
    • Pour desired amount into clean feeding container. Recap bottle, refrigerate and use within 48 hours.
  • Once feeding begins, use within 1 hour or discard.

32 fl oz bottle

  • Do not use if band around cap or inner foil seal is damaged.
  • Shake very well before each use.
  • Remove protective band; twist off and clean cap.
  • Invert cap; press down to pierce foil, then turn cap a half turn.
  • Remove foil.
  • Pour formula into bottle; attach clean nipple.
  • Once feeding begins, use within 1 hour or discard.
  • Prepare and feed all formula in the container within 3 days after opening.

Storage Instructions:

Powder

  • Once mixed, store bottles in refrigerator and feed to baby within 24 hours.
  • Store unopened conainers at room temperature; avoid extreme temperatures.
  • Use opened can contents within 1 month.
  • Do not reuse container.

Ready to Feed

2 & 8 fl oz Bottle

  • Store unopened at room temperature; avoid extreme temperatures.
  • Do not reuse bottle.
  • Protect from light.
  • Store in carton until ready for use.

32 fl oz Bottle

  • Unopened Container: Store at room Temperature; avoid extreme Temperatures.
  • Opened Container: Recap, refrigerate, and feed within 3 days.
  • Prepared unfed bottles: cap, refrigerate, and feed within 2 days. Do not reuse container.
